Anti- riot police officers have lobed tear gas cannisters at youths who had camped at Jimi Wanjigi's residence to disperse them.
According to the video shared at by The Star, a crowd of youths were seen running away from police who were lobing tear gas to keep them away from Wanjigi's offices.
" Police disperse youth that had camped outside businessman Jimi Wanjingi's office following a raid by DCI officers," the Star reported.
This comes after armed officers raided businessman Jimi Wanjigi's offices in Westlands, Nairobi, on Monday night. At around 9.30 p.m, an unknown number of officers arrived at the Kwacha Group of Companies offices.
Images taken from CCTV footage and shared on social media showed several armed officers ostensibly waiting to gain access to Wanjigi's offices.
According to sources, Wanjigi was holed up at the offices with his son and several staff members. The reason for the night raid is unknown.
