As the government continues to quell the attacks that are currently happening in Laikipia County, interior Cabinet Secretary Hon. Fred Matiangi have sent a message to the residents and the bandits on the governments dedication to instill peace in the county.
Using his official Twitter handle, CS Matiangi affirmed to the residents and the general public that they will not leave Laikipia County before normalcy returns with people resettling their lands and continue with their economic activities peacefully.
"Just like other Kenyans, the people of Ol-Moran and areas across Laikipia County need an environment where they can go about their daily businesses and enjoy peaceful nights undisturbed. We will spend our time here untill everyone is safe and secure," CS Matiangi Tweeted.
This acts as a threat to the bandits who are staging and executing the attacks to the innocent civilians. At the same time, the message acts as an assurance to the residents that the government is concerned with their security and is therefore doing something to ensure peace is restored.
