Three months ago, residents of Ngimari village in Embu County were left in shock following a mysterious house fire that left seven people dead.
Seven family members were burnt to death and their timber house reduced to ashes.
The suspect, who had been on the run since the attack, was arrested and thereafter disclosed shocking details.

The man watflushed out of his hideout in Kakamega County by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
Boaz Wanjala said that he burnt down the wrong house. He told the police that he had intended to kill his estranged wife.
After realizing that he had missed his target, Wanjala texted his estranged wife saying "So you are still alive you Satan."
The man had earlier threatened to burn the woman and her mother.
Wanjala allegedly torched the house by mistake, killing all the occupants.
The seven were laid to rest in the same grave during an emotional funeral which attracted several local leaders.
