Kenya Meteorological Department has warned Kenyans against heavy rainfall in the following parts of the country. Rainfall is expected to continue over Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley, the Highlands East of Rift Valley, the South Eastern Lowlands, the Coast and North Eastern parts of the country.
Sunny intervals is expected over several places as from tomorrow until the last day of weather forecast during the morning hours. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several places. Finally partly cloudy conditions are also expected over several places during the nights.
North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours from day one of the weather forecast period until the last. Afternoon showers are expected over few places. Partly cloudy conditions expected over several places during the nights.
Detailed regional weather forecast indicates that the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift including Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, West Pokot, Nandi, Kericho and Nandi counties.
Morning rains are expected over few places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur over several places. Nights showers are expected be as low as 8 degrees Celsius in Kabarnet in Suba they may be as high as 22 degrees Celsius.
The Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi Counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow until Monday next week. Morning rains are expected over few places. Afternoon showers are likely to occur over several places.
Kenya Meteorological Department has also warned kenyans living in Nairobi against heavy rainfall. Thika town and Rimuru are expected to receive rains tonight.
Finally parts of the coastal region especially Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the day and nights showers are expected over several places.
