Bodaboda Rider Still At Large After Beating Casual Labourer To Death Over Ksh70 Fare In Nakuru

A bodaboda rider on Monday afternoon still at large after beating a casual labourer to death over Ksh70 fare in Nakuru County.

The suspect reportedly fled to unknown destination after Killing his victim who was a pillion passenger on Sunday evening after an altercation over Sh70 fare.

“We are still pursuing the leads for the suspect who kill his passenger in Kayole estate. We are not going to rest until we catch up with him,” said Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru.

The victim, who was leaving a local bar located on the highway, had asked the rider to ferry him to his home at around 9 pm.

John Kimani, a witness, told the press that after reaching home, the victim was unable to recall his M-Pesa pin, leading to a a disagreement with the suspect.

“It is during this time, the bodaboda opted to ferry the deceased who was drunk to Karai police post, but they differed, and a fight ensued,” he said.

According to Kimani, the suspect abandoned his victim in unconscious state, only for the body to be found dead on Monday morning by his relatives.

The latest report came barely two days when in Maella, Naivasha, a man sustained deep cuts on his chin after he was assaulted by his close ally for allegedly winking at his sweetheart.
