Juliet Mutual is among the people who survived the Mwingi bus accident that left 30 people dead. Juliet has revealed that her face mask helped to save her life. She was speaking to the press on Tuesday morning where she said that on the fateful day she had joined her family to oversee her parents renew their wedding vows.
Juliet then said that as they were getting into the bus, she realized that she had forgotten to carry her face mask. She alighted to go pick her mask but before she could board back in, the bus started to move.
"I survived a tragedy by God's mercies. I was trying to cross a river with the rest f my family to go for my dad's wedding but then I realized I had forgotten to pick masks from my bag. I ran back quickly to get the masks and by the time I got back running after the vehicle, it started moving and swiftly it just stayed off and that is when everybody started screaming and they all started drowning," Juliet told Citizen TV.
She revealed how she watched her nephews and nieces drown unable to do anything. With her parents gone, she has now been left with the responsibility of taking after their siblings. Follow the page for more news updates daily.
