Speaking through their lawyer, Danstan Omari, the officers claimed that they were being arrested after failing to follow an order they were issued with before their detention.
Danstan claimed that the four were even denied their right of being released on bond wondering why they were arrested prior to investigations.
Why they were allegedly arrested, what they were ordered to do
The officers claimed that they were arrested because they failed to execute an order by the seniors arresting them.
They claimed that they were arrested on mere allegations and ordered to "fix" their bosses, some within their line of duty and other heads of multi agencies.
The four claim the their detention was as a result of failing to wrongfully "fix" their bosses who were seemingly the main targets of their arresters.
Danstan further claimed that their arrest emanates from a higher office and not necessarily within the National Police Service (NPS).
The dissolved SSU has been linked to the death of Ruto's polls experts.
Disbandment of the unit was ordered by the President.
