Kamiti Escapee Dares To Escape Again If Given Chance

One of the three Kamiti Maximum Prison escapees who escaped and later rearrested, has dared to escape again if he gets another opportunity.

Speaking to netizens on Monday at Kahawa Law Courts Musharaf Abdallah said he would rather escape than serve another term in cells.

“I escaped from prison because I was looking for my freedom after staying here for ten years,” Abdallah said.

Abdallah added that it is difficult for him to spend all of his first terms plus the ones he will be added for trying to escape.

“I have to escape… You see I am going back to prison to serve a new term added to those that I was given before,” he said.

Abdallah together with three other identified as Mohamed Ali Abikar and Joseph Juma Odhiambo had escaped from Kamiti few weeks ago, but were later rearrested in Kitui.

The trio was reported to have drilled a hole in the cell wall and used ropes to scale high walls before using a private car from Kamiti to Machakos and used matatu to Kitui town.

Detectives are now in pursuit of the private vehicle and the one believed to have on a standby to sneak them to Somalia.
