A team of County officials led by Dr. Kariuki Gichuki handed over beddings, iron sheets and food which was received by Mr. Kinya Matindi Chief Officer Public Service and ICT in the County Government of Laikipia.
Dr Gichuki noted that this was a gesture of Nakuru County’s solidarity with the people of Laikipia who have been facing insecurity challenges for about a month.He said Nakuru Governor H.E Lee Kinyanjui is concerned about the situation in Laikipia and his administration will continue to support until peace prevails.
Dr. Gichuki was accompanied by CECs Jacquilene Osoro, Francis Mwangi and County Attorney Caleb Nyamwange.Last Friday, Governor Kinyanjui visited the affected area with Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi to promote peaceful coexistence.
