A seven-year-old girl that had gone missing about a week ago, has been found inside an unused pit latrine in Malaba Constituency. The girl is said to have disappeared on May 15th and had not been since since that day in the evening.
The little girl who has been identified as Trina has left the villagers in shock after frantic efforts to locate her proved unsuccessful. The girl is said to have been playing with her friend when she disappeared.
She was a pupil at Imalaba Primary School and this death has left many without a word to say. A powerful stench emanated from the latrine and this is when the stepfather went to check and found a leg sticking out of the latrine.
It is yet unclear if there was foul play as it the body of the girl has been taken to Mbale Hospital Mortuary. The little girl was staying with her stepfather as her mother has been in Kericho.
