A popular business man from Malindi in Mombasa is currently seeking justice following a brutal beating that he received from police officers that left him with a broken hand.

According to the reports given by the victim, he claimed that it was like police officers from malindi police station were trying to keep him from receiving justice by constantly postponing their meeting.
He went ahead and added that despite the fact that he has visited Malindi police station on several occasions in attempts meet with the officers InCharge of his case, he has never been updated adding that they are always giving out excuses.
Speaking to Citizen television reporters,Malindi OCS Joe Olekuta claimed that he had already presented the case to kilifi DCIO because there is a procedure that is being followed where he claimed that he was waiting for the confirmation from his boss in order to carry out his next move.
He added that it's always up to the DCIO to give him the go ahead before he consider taking any other action and as of now, he said that his hands were tied claiming that he has always alerted the DCIO everytime the victim went to seek an update.
Kenyans Reactions
This incident has sparked alot of mixed reactions from Kenyans who seemed to have been confused on why there was an increasing number of police brutality in Kenya.
With a section of Kenyans claiming that this was being caused by failure to punish rogue police officers, others went ahead and called upon the agents from the director of criminal investigations to look into this matter in order to ensure that justice is served.
