An investigation has been launched by the police officers based in Kisii county after a middle-aged woman in the region was Killed after being raped and left with serious injuries on her neck by unknown assailants.
Based on the police reports, the woman's dead body was found dumped without clothes a few meters from the Kisii police station with deep wounds around her privates and on her neck.
The woman's dead body was taken to kiss Teaching and Referral morgue awaiting autopsy as more investigations are being conducted by the police officers to ensure that the ones responsible are brought on board.
According to the police commander in Kissi County, locals have expressed their concern with a high number of cases surrounding murder and attacks on women and children.
Like a few days ago, Kissi Woman representative Fontina Ngare said that she was attacked by unknown men in her home leaving her with serious injuries on her head. She is now at Kissi teaching and Referral hospital under medication after sustaining serious injuries on her head.
