Government stated that it will continue to support the police in ensuring curfew rules are followed. The curfew rules are imposed to limit movements during the night aimed at reducing the spread of Covid-19.
Kenyans have continued to break curfew rules. Some were caught drinking in bars up to late hours yesterday during the night. Those arrested will be arraigned in court tomorrow Monday so that they are judged for breaking the curfew rules.
This comes after a number of vehicles carrying passengers in Nairobi yesterday were grounded. The passengers were forced to spend the night in the cold by the police who were enforcing curfew rules. The government has urged the police not to relent on what they are doing in enforcing curfew rules as it has assured them of full support. The police have said any vehicle that will carry passengers in the late nights during curfew hours risks being grounded.
