The CRE And English Teacher Serving A Life Sentence In Prison

Inooro TV journalist, Simon Kibe have yet again come action another striking story of a teacher, who is currently serving a life sentence in prison after she was accused of killing her husband.

From the interview, Jane Manyonge grew up admiring to become a police officer, just like her father. As she matured, she developed some love for the teaching profession, which she studied after completing her high school studies. She therefore graduated as a teacher, specializing in Christian Religious Education (CRE) and English.

However, her career was cut short after some years, after she killed her husband in what she termed as a domestic violence that ended up being tragic. The act saw her being arrested and arraigned in court, where she was sentenced for a life imprisonment.

While in prison, she is a teacher to her fellow inmates, where she teaches them English language with passion. She always gets visits from her former students.

She is also learning the basics of law, with an aim of helping her fellow inmates while in prison.

In her parting shot, she regrets doing the act and has a message to all married people on marriage, where she tells them that marriage is not a bed of roses, and that there is no graduation for marriage.
