Two Women Suffer Injuries After a Matatu Collided with A Land Cruiser At Bomas Roundabout

Two women has suffered injuries after matatu hit off the road by a land cruiser at Bomas roundabout, Nairobi County.

Bomas roundabout traffic police officer Jack Owen confirmed the incident saying police are already on the site.

Jack said the matatu coming from Nairobi town which had 17 occupants developed a tyre burst during the morning incident that caused a snarl-up along the busy highway when the incident happened.

"The matatu coming from Nairobi town had 17 occupants. It suffered tyre burst that and caused a huge traffic snarl-up along the busy road leading to the morning incident," Jack said.

According to police, the land cruiser was moving at a high speed veered off the road and hit the stalled matatu along the road.

Motorists plying the same route are advised to divert to other routes to avoid further traffic build up.

The two injured were rushed to Bomas of Kenya Dispensary for emergency treatment.

The latest development comes only two days when three people lost their lives on the same road.
