The athletics world has been thrown into Mourning following the brutal murder of the talented Kenyan Athlete Agnes Tirop Who represented Kenya in the 5000M race in The 2020 Olympic competitions in Tokyo Japan where she competed against the world's best Sifan Hassan and Hellen Obiri. She managed to finish fourth in the race.
According to reports, Tirop had just arrived from Valencia and had gone to collect her clothes from her home in Iten where she met her death. She was confronted by her estranged husband who attacked her using a knife and stabbed her several times until she died.
The husband was able to escape by the help of a neighbor who is also his friend. On hearing the reports, the angry villagers stormed the man's home and vandalized his saloon car. They broke the windows and the car's windscreen.
