Kenyans united and robbed and chased away fraudsters who have been operating at Archives in the Nairobi CBD.
The group had for a long time conned unsuspecting people by luring them into their con game. The group is said to persuade Kenyans to buy ruffle tickets to win goodies before blackmailing them.
The Nairobians felt that enough is enough and decided to take the matter into their own hands. They threw stones and damaged their car, forcing the group to free for their safety.
According to those who witnessed the bizarre scene, Kenyans robbed and took off with phones and laptops from the fraudsters.
The incident is said to have been triggered by a scream from a lady who had lost Sh30,000 to the fraudsters.
The DCI had in previously warned Kenyans to be watchful especially in the busy streets of Nairobi.
The DCI has also asked Kenyans to always report incidents of thuggery to the relevant authorities instead of publishing on social media.
