Angry mob descends on five men who were attempting to kidnap a 78-year-old man in Kitengela, Nairobi County.

Kitengela area police spokesman George Kona who confirmed the incident said the five men kidnapped the elderly man while heading to his work place in Bama.

According to George Kona's reports, the victim is a meat seller in Bama estate, and was heading to work when the suspects lured him, tied him and hid him on their car.

Police identified the victim as Kennedy Martin, 78, and a grandfather of ten children.

He later raised alarm attracting the attention of the residents who came up in large numbers baying for the suspects blood.

Security officers who were dispatched in the crime scene, said the five suspects sustained serious injuries and two of them succumbed to the injuries while being rushed to M P Shah hospital for emergency treatment.

The kidnapped victim was also taken to the hospital by the officers for medical examination.

The rowdy residents after descending on the accused persons using different crude weapons they come across, dismantled the suspects's car using construction blocks around the site.

The latest report is currently under police investigations.
