An officer attached to the Masalani-Police Station in Garissa-County reportedly stabbed his girlfriend to death before he finally killed himself.
According to Citizen TV digital, an eye witness’ account, the officer and his lovely girlfriend were engaged in a heated-argument before he stabbed her.
The report further states that upon coming to the realization of his actions, he then took his own-life by detonating a hand grenade; blowing-himself up in the process.
William Oyugi, who is Ijara sub-county Police Commander details chances were that the officer resorted to committing suicide out of desperation or regret after realizing that the lady had bled to death owing to the physical injuries.
“The officer had burns all over his body caused by shrapnel from the explosive.”
Mr. Oyugi insighted that the lovebirds had been having a rough-relationship as the girlfriend had earlier fled with their kid accusing the cop of infidelity.
The lifeless bodies of the deceased were reportedly taken to the Mwingi-mortuary where they waiting for a postmortem examination.
