The homicide trend in the country is worrying because each and every day there must be a case or more of an individual who lost their lives under unknown circumstances.
According to sources, Catherine Gitonga left her house to meet her boyfriend not knowing that he could turn out to be her murderer.
Since she left her home on Monday, Catherine never came back home, which prompted his friends and family start searching for her.
In the process of the search, Catherine's body was found lying beside an abandoned vehicle which was identified as her boyfriend's at Tola estate near Mangu School.
The 38 years old was arrested and confessed to have murdered and chopped Catherine's body parts off after they had an argument.
The man confessed to have tried to dump the body of Catherine, but his vehicle got stuck which made him flee from the scene.
The badly mutilated body of Catherine Gitonga was moved to city mortuary where an autopsy will be carried out, as the 38 years old boyfriend is grilled by the DCI.
