Timothy Kimani popularly known as comedian Njugush has been mugged at knifepoint in a heist executed by three robbers along Univerity way in Nairobi.
The comedian was unpredictably tricked by a middle-aged woman while heading home in his car. The woman lied to him that she had been involved in an accident and therefore was not in a position to fend for his family.
The woman requested Njugush to help her with food rather than money. The comedian gave in to her pleas and immediately after he opened the car door to help the woman, two men got to his car within a fraction of a second.
The woman threatened the comedian not to scream as she would accuse him of trying to rape her. Before he could think of what to do, one of the men threatened to stab him in the belly.
The three accomplices then made him drive around the city and transferred all the money in his Mpesa account to their phone.
After the incident, the comedian went to Central police station and reported the incident. Investigations have been launched and the thieves will be found and brought to book.
Kenyans should be careful about who they help as thieves are exceeding expectations to fraud people in Nairobi County.
