Kisii county residents are counting loses after heavy rainfall left lot of property destroyed. The rainfall that was followed by hailstorms and strong wild left buildings and farm products destroying.
One of the main affected amenities is Nyamecheo SDA mixed primary school which is in Magenche ward, Kenyenya sub-county in Kisii County.
The heavy rainfall has left several classes destroyed after the strong winds blew off roofs of several classes. More than seven classes were left without roofs with several homestead within the region being blow off too.
Confirming the incident, Nyamecheo Primary School headteacher Richard Nyamiaka, said that no one was injured during the incident as all students were away for the third term holidays.
He has further called upon well-wishers to come to their aid so that they can repair the institution before students resumes back.
The entire region of Kisii County has been experiencing heavy rains for the past one month which have been hazardous in some regions of the County causing much flooding and destruction of property.
