Government Announces Demolitions Of Houses In Nairobi Most Densely Populated Estate

More demolitions are set to rock Nairobi city in the coming days with Nairobi county commissioner James Kianda saying they are set to give more space to the Nairobi Expressway,in a notice date 8th of this month he disclosed that Mukuru Kwa Njenga and parts of its environs are supposed to be brought down to build emergency roads,Kianda insisted that those who live along Catherine Ndereba road should start demolishing their structures because if they don't a team will sent to help them forcefully,his notice comes few weeks after houses were destroyed in Parklands leaving residents homeless.

Mr Kianda assured locals of Mukuru Kwa Njenga that after the construction of the Nairobi Expressway highway their business will start booming saying it will increase money in there pockets,he warned those who would not bring down their houses, saying they will be supervised by Nairobi metropolitan service when they will be moving out,but those who will not hid with their notice they will forced out by city askaris.

For the past eight months thousands have been rendered homeless after the government ordered their homes to be demolished in order to pave way for Nairobi Expressway.
