Police Arrest Wife Who Stabbed Her Husband To Death Over Ksh 42,000

Police in Kitale, Tranz Nzoia County, have arrested a 22-year-old lady, blamed for stabbing her husband to death following a family disagreement regarding Sh42, 000 got in the wake of leasing their piece of land.

Nancy Murigo Kabuchu purportedly cut Stanley Kariuki, 29, with a kitchen blade when they began quarreling about the money.

The incident occurred at the Kitale East town of Tuwan.

The area chief Beatrice Mukuba said Kariuki had leased 3.5 acres of land at Sh12,000 each.

"The lady asserted that her husband wouldn't share the cash and that he could waste it all, " Ms Mukuba said.

The chief depicted the suspect as inconvenient and said the couple quarreled frequently and that the village elder dealt with the debates.

The husband, the chief said, was rushed to Kitale County Referral Hospital yet succumbed to his wounds.

The suspect was arrested and held in custody as she awaits arraignment.

The body was taken to Kitale County Referral Hospital morgue.
