The four police officers, as well as others in their company, are deemed to be suspects in the assassination of renowned lawyer Kimani.
According to Citizen TV information, four police officers are among the five accused persons to be tried for the murder of Willy Kimani after a Nairobi Court rules they have a case to answer.
Kimani was murdered alongside his cab driver and a client in one of the country's most heinous assassinations in recent memory.

Lawyer Kimani was a Kenyan human rights lawyer who worked for the International Justice Mission in Nairobi, served on the board of Right Promotion Protection, and was a member of the Kenyan Law Society.
Mr. Josephat Mwenda, Kimani's client, and their taxi driver, Mr. Joseph Muiruri, were all slain.
"According to the information on July 1st, 2016, the bodies of the three men were recovered from the Ol-Donyo Sabuk River in Machakos Country, 73km northeast of Nairobi. They had been missing since June 23, 2016, at around 12 pm, as they were traveling home after filing a complaint against a police officer in a colrruption case."
