An officer of the law in Kirinyaga west sub-county is facing defilement case in the court off law after he was reported to have defiled a form three student who is fifteen years old.
According to the constitution anybody found guilty is in the risk to face many years or even a life imprisonment in prison, defiling a minor aged between twelve and fifteen years you will serve twenty years in years in prison.
A tweet by officers in operation stated that the culprit was arrested and aligned in court:
The officer is on a remand at kerugoya prison and his case will be heard on 23rd February,2021 where he will stand trial in a court of law and if found guilty he will be charged according to the constitution safeguarding children's rights.
Defilement victims have it rough to go through that hard time as they fear to have contracted HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, early pregnancy which can force the victim to drop out of school.
