A lady by the name Josephine Waihini from Bahati constituency has come out publicly to recall how she spent more than five years in prison over a robbery case which she had not committed.The middle aged lady has said that she was arrested in 2017 over a murder case which she had not committed after firearms were found in her compound.
She said that it all happened in 2017 while she was in church when a phonecall broke would change her life forever after she received a phonecard from a man who identified himself as a police investigator.Upon reaching her home she was shocked to find her Nephew by the name Matundura and Kamau in handcuffs awaiting to be driven to Bahati police station.Without wasting time the police officers arrested her and took her together with her cousins to Bahati Police station where she would learn that her nephews were wanted criminals.
They would later be charged with robbery with violence and a rape charges against her cousins plus they were found with guns and pistols which are rumoured to have been found in her compound hence making her one of them.It was until five years later that it would be proven that she had nothing to do with that murder case and was only a victim of being at the wrong place and at the wrong time.
