Police officers from Kagera district are currently holding Joachim Rwegasira a resident of Muleba province in Tanzania on allegations of killing his wife Rosemary together with their son Joiness before he deliberately injured himself.
The suspect is currently receiving treatment at Muleba Rubya hospital under tight security. Sources have disclosed that Joachim was driven by jealous.
Kagera province police boss Maketi Msangi said that the unfortunate incident happened yesterday after the suspect accused his wife of having an illicit affair with his neighbour. Joachim suddenly attacked his deceased wife and kid killing them on the spot.
Joachim is believed to have tried to deliberately injured himself on his neck and stomach using a sharp object. Sources have disclosed that the two have not had marital problems.
The bodies were taken to nearby awaiting postmortem examination to identify cause of death. Follow my page for investigative journalism
