NARC Kenya party leader, Hon. Martha Karua has weighed in on the move by the ministry of interior to prohibit marriages between the police officers, the interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matian'gi had last week revealed that the ministry was planning to establish new rules that will make it illegal for police officers to have relationships amongst themselves.
Matian'gi stated that the move aims at minimizing the deaths among the officers especially those who are married or are in intimate relationships. This move was however, critisized by many Kenyans including politicians, many have questioned Matian'gi's right to control relationships between officers who are also human beings.
Karua has joined those questioning Matian'gi about this move, she has wondered how this will be possible.
Officers have been killing themselves and it has always been claimed that relationships have been leading to this. Whether Matian'gi will succeed in this is just a matter of tim.
