The residents of Likoni area in Mombasa County, have woken up to a ride shock after a decomposing body of a young boy was found floating on the water at Kwetu Beach.This was after the live safers and the fishermen who had earlier gone to the beach for their daily activities discovered it.
According to one of the eyewitness, he had just arrived at the beach around 8 where he saw a group of men crowded at the beach.He then tried to get a glimpse of what was happening only to find that people were staring at the body which was floating on the water.
Most of the residents were suspecting that the body of the unidentified boy might be among the children who went missing while celebrating the new year at the beach.The residents have tried to reach desperate parents who they are aware of who lost their kids during the festive season to come and identify the body.
No one has identified the cause of the death and it's an autopsy that will be done to clarify the cause of the death.
