A male student who was in the company of five other boys from Gathiruini Boys’ High School died after he was allegedly assaulted for entering a dormitory at Komothai Girls’ High School in Githunguri, Kiambu County.
The 17-year-old boy together with his friends forced their way to the school on the night of Wednesday, October 21, forcing the girls to raise alarm. The scream from the girls was so loud that it attracted the attention of security guards, staff members and other learners.
Speaking to the press, George Ng’ang’a Karanja, the manager of the security firm providing services to Komothai Girls’ High School, said that the other students managed to escape while the deceased was cornered and battered by the group.
He further added that he was rushed to Kigumo Level 4 Hospital while unconscious but took his last breath upon arrival. His body was moved to the morgue as police are continuing with the investigation.
