Accidents on the Kenyan highways have been on the rise in the recent past with the government unsure of what to do in order to mitigate this scourge that has bedeviled our nation.
The government has always asked motorists to be extra careful as these accidents are caused by recklessness as well as non compliance to traffic rules on the part of some motorists.
More than 2000 Kenyans have lost their lives on the highways since the start of the year according to the data from the National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA.
This evening according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from Sachangwan, there has been a nasty accident where thirty one people have been injured.
There's no fatalities that have been reported from the accident that happened moments ago this evening as per the reports that we have with us from the scene.
Police have already arrived at the scene and have taken the injured to the hospital for medical check-up with no fatalities being reported.
It is still unclear as to what caused the accident that happened at Sachangwan this evening.
The bus was full of passengers headed to the inauguration of the President Elect William Ruto who hails from Sugoi that is found in Rift Valley as per the reports that we have with us.
