The traffic officer normally does a very good job when it comes to controlling traffic congestion along busy roads, but most matatu drivers considers them as enemies.
This comes after a speeding matatu knocked down a traffic policeman along Valley Road in Nairobi killing him.
The officer is said to have been on duty when the sad incident happened. The officer was controlling traffic at the junction between Valley Road and Ralph Bunche Road when he met his untimely death.
Confirming the incident, the traffic commander Mr Joshua Omukata said that, the officer was knocked by the speeding matatu killing him.The commander condemned the action, saying that the drivers should be careful when driving to avoid such happening in future.
It is so sad that some drivers are so careless when driving such that they risk the lives of the passengers and other road users including the traffic police on duty.
May his soul rest in peace.
