KPLC has at times incurred losses due to the unaccounted amounts lost due to illegal connections.Such connections have also ended up killing innocent Kenyans who may not be aware of them. This has seen the company deploy its officers on the ground to find the offenders.

The demand for electricity is escalating on daily basis. Some people have complained of the delays even after paying the required amounts of money to the company for first timely connections. However,Kenyans can now apply for connections online through the KPLC Portal.

July will be unusual for those with the Kenya Power metres. The electricity bills will be increased. This has left those benefiting from the electricity confused. However, there have been those who delay in paying their bills on time.

Due to the looming increments in the electricity charges, those people who have been piling their bills will risk being disconnected from the power grids. The bills will definitely accumulate at an increased rate due to the increase thus leaving many unable to clear their bills. These victims should go back to the drawing board to avoid another piled increased bills orchestrated by the looming July increments.Incase it piles much, they will increase the chances of their meters being confiscated.
