The fuel tanker veered off the road, and crashed crashed into two saloon cars at Keroche along the Nakuru-Nairobi road on Saturday.
The victims of the accident, who are yet to be identified, sustained serious injuries.
Their bodies were retrieved from the wreckage of the two cars as the fuel tanker landed into a ditch.
The two saloon cars, a Toyota premio and a Toyota corrola were badly wrecked.
The fuel tanker was shot bursting into flames but it was rescued by a team of firefighters from Naivasha town.
Naivasha Sub-county deputy police County Commander Mr Betty Wells said two people had lost their lives in the accident while four others were injured.
Four of the injured were admitted at different hospitals within Naivasha town for medical treatment.
Witnesses accounts revealed that the fuel tanker was moving at a high speed and veered off the road after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The tanker is then reported to have rammed into the two cars that were oncoming.
The bodies of the deceased were transferred to Jamani funeral home in Naivasha Sub-county.
