The issue of condom shortage which was recently addressed by the ministry of health is seriously affecting other sectors the biggest one being the 'prostitution' business. 'The Standard' reporters visited Homa Bay and they persuaded some young ladies who engage in the business to tell them how the situation has been ever since the government addressed the condom issue. One of them said that their business used to be at the peak especially on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They could collect a four figure digit amount of salary in these days but now the situation has changed. She said that many clients don't want services especially because they are not ready to contract disease in the unprotected sessions. She said that for now only few men agree and hence the pay is little. She urged the government to act up because lack of protection is slowly killing their business and they have no other means of providing for their families.
