Stock theft is slowly creeping back in Matungulu sub county of Machakos county.

On Friday night one farmer from Koma area lost his five cows to thieves who struck at night.

The farmer explained that the cows were taken from the shed in the dead of night while the family slept.

Last year stock theft was high as cows were being stolen and slaughtered by these heartless thieves.

However the trend went down due to the curfew order by the President.

Now the farmers are worried about their livestock and have called upon the security apparatus to hunt and prosecute the cattle theft terrorizing them.

They have urged for the involvement of the anti-stock theft to solve the cases.

A few months ago three men suspected to be in the ring of cattle thieves were killed and their bodies set ablaze by angry residents in Koma area.
