Few years after the death of popular Kikuyu artist John Demathew now a road named after his is under construction in Gatanga Muranga county.John Demathew was among most popular and famous musicians and he will be remembered for his many songs that has different themes.As a way to honour and mark his efforts in the society, the county government of Muranga decided to construct a road(John Demathew road).
The project is currently ongoing and is approaching completion.In addition the project is monitored by Gatanga MP Nduati Ngugi with collaboration with other stakeholders.People have however commended the government's efforts as they commend MP Ngugi for his follow up on the task.Moreover they reveals that the road will act as a means to remember the late John Demathew as a hero in Kikuyu community. The government should however come up with means to establish more physical settings and name them after the deceased heros of the country, as a way of their recognition.
