Head-on collision involving a lorry and probox reported along Ahero-Katito road, Kisumu County.
This is according to the Sikika Road Safety post on Saturday morning.
"Head-on collision happening now at Ahero katito road next to Rae girls," The post read out.
According to the County Police Commander, the accident occurred next to Rae girls on Saturday, in an area regarded as one of the major black spots in the country.
He said the driver of the lorry was trying to overtake another vehicle causing the accident.
The county chief said the driver of the lorry and his turn boy survived the crash.
He said the driver in the other probox escaped with minor injuries after the accident and is being sought after.
The incident comes barely two weeks after seven people, among them two family members, perished and scores of others were seriously injured in separate road accidents along the highway.
Meanwhile, the police officers have since responded to the scene of accident.
