The family of a Police Constable, Reuben Kimutai Lel has finally breathed a sigh of relief after he was found in Kenyatta National Hospital's intensive care unit. Reuben had been missing since December last year, and no one had any idea of his whereabouts.
Reports indicate that Reuben had taken leave on the 20th of December 2020 which was to end in January. However, he did not get home as he was a victim of a hit and run incident.
Reuben was admitted in KNH and stayed in coma for around 9 months. He was robbed of his personal belongings like mobile phone and wallet by those who arrived at the scene first, therefore therefore he wasn't identified. He was simply registered as Augustino Neto.
Friends and family didn't know know of the accident. And when he failed to report to work he was exempted from National Police Payroll. A warrant of his arrest was also issued.
