Hundreds Of Kenyans Left Homeless After Demolitions

Residents of Njiru in Kasarani, Nairobi woke up today in shock after bulldozers were flattening their homes unexpectedly.

The exercise is reported to have been heavily guarded by police officers who were properly armed.

This finds the victims at a tough moment bearing in mind that it is a rainy season and most parts of the country are receiving heavy rains.

Speaking to news reporters, a 28 year old mother who is a resident says that her three-bedroom house has been demolished yet she has no money to secure even a rental house at the moment.

Residents confirmed that they are not refugees because they were born and raised in Kenya just like other citizens.

The affected teams are calling for help from the government especially during these hard times of the rain season. This comes after the country has been partially locked down making it difficult for them to travel to the villages.

Netizens have reacted on this act differently some blaming the government for being inconsiderate to its own citizens as seen below.
