Sad as bodaboda rider died in grisly road accident along Thika road, Nairobi County.
The rider was going to attend the burial service of his colleague when a Nissan matatu hit his motorbike.
His body was found lying in the middle of the road in an incident that happened at around 6.50pm on Friday evening.
Thika road traffic police officer Jack Owen who confirmed the incident said the Nissan was moving at a high speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the rider on the front.
The body of the deceased was transferred to Jomo Kenyatta University Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and further police investigations.
The traffic police officer warned motorists against overspeeding and recklessness.
The motorbike together with the Nissan wrecks were towed to Kasarani Police Station for inspection.
The Friday evening accident delayed the transport system along the busy road that lasted around one and half hours.
