A 15-year old boy from Migori County died under mysterious circumstances a day after he was punished by his mother.
According to reports, the 15-year old form two Student was found dead in their house while his mother was at work.
Migori County Police Commander Mark Wanjala confirmed the incident stating that the body was discovered by neighbours. Earlier that day, his mother had left to work. Neighbours were suspicious since they had information that the mother had beaten up the boy a day before.
The body had bruises on the knees and police believe that he might have died due to Internal injuries.
On her side, the 30-year old mother confessed to have punished his son on Sunday, 1st January 2023. However, she did not imagine that it could be the reason behind her son's death.
The body of the young man was transferred to Migori level 5 hospital pending a postmortem while his mother is currently being detained at Oruba police station as Investigations are ongoing.
