Police constable Martin Cheruiyot succumbed to bandits attack in Lamu
Police constable Martin Cheruiyot was among the four police officers who were killed when a vehicle they were moving in was attacked by the suspected bandits, Lamu county.
The deceased was one of the police officers who were injured during the attack that took place between Mkunumbi and Hindi.
They were later rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment where he passed on while undergoing treatment.
His death was announced to the public by Kenya police through their Facebook page. 
"So sad to loose a gallant police officer.PC Martin Cheruiyot. He succumbed to bandits attack in Lamu. Sorry for the loss." The post read in part.
Netizens have sent their messages of condolence to the family of the police officer.
