Police in Trans Zoia county have detained a socialite over the allegations of stealing a vehicle belonging to Asian tycoon.Shay Diva Africa was arrested in Kitale on Friday evening and was placed in custody for further investigations until Monday.
The 30 year old,was accused of accessing tycoon PJ Dodhia Kumar's NTSA account and transfering ownership of a toyota V8 to herself without following due processes of succession.Wairimu's arrest came after the family of the deceased filed a report against her,saying Kumar gave her the car on "use and return basis" since they were in a relationship.
Detectives tracked Wairimu where she lives and towed the vehicle to Buruburu police station.It has been reported that she had initially tried to get the car through lawyers but she failed and she was arrested instead.Wairimu claimed that the car was transferred to her without her knowledge.She will be charged with stealing, obtaining property by false and interfering with the dead's person property.
