The duo were reportedly to have kidnapped two babies at Nyalenda estate in Kisumu County last week. The two babies boy and girl were handed over to children's home within the town.
The missing suspects are said to have arrived at a local market in Kisumu town and bought foodstuffs. They were later seen boarding a Nissan at around 10am going towards Muhoroni town.
According bodaboda operators who saw them, it is alleged that they left towards Oginga Odinga-Obote roundabout where they were seen inside a white Nissan.
Preliminary investigations reveals it is not clear where they went and cannot be reached on the phone.
Kisumu Police have visited the areas they were seen in wee hours of Monday morning and didn't manage to trace their whereabouts.
Kisumu County Police commander Andrew Onyango said a probe into the disappearance of the two women has been reported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters.
“We don’t have so much information about their whereabouts yet,” he said.
According to trusted sources, the duo are known to be good friends and notorious kidnappers.
