The family of the late Dedan Kimathi is now on spotlight after the honourable president of Kenya disclosed about the death of Dedan Kimathi's daughter, Peris Muthoni. According to the existing reports online, she succumbed after a long period of sickness, may her soul rest in peace.Dedan Kimathi was the senior military and spiritual leader of the Mau Mau Uprising, he was born on 31 October 1920 in Nyeri county and died on 18th February 1957 in Nairobi, he was married to Mukami Kimathi and the two were blessed with four children, namel, Wanjugu Kimathi, Wachiuri Kumathi, Maina Kimathi and Nyawira Kimathi.The late Dedan Kimathi was a sibbling to Wambararia Kimathi and Wagura Kimathi.The president remembered Muthoni as a cheerful person who went out of her ways to ensure Mama Mukami Kimathi, the aging widow of freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi, was well take care of as she is very old and she can therefore not take care of herself.
