The cabinet secretary of interior security Dr. Fred Matiang'i has taken into his Twitter account to mourn the death of his county Governor John Ngarama. Ngarama who was 74 years succumbed today at around 3 am after battling with the novel covid-19 over the last one week. He was admitted to the hospital previously, where he was taken to the intensive care unit until the last day of his breath. 
CS Matiang'i has described the late as a gentle and kind soul, a real mzee, and an elder in the community who fully defended the rights of the people. Ngarama's death comes a week after the Machakos senator Mutinda Kabaka also succumbed.
"Devastated by the news of the death of my Governor John Nyangarama. He was a gentle and kind soul. A real mzee and elder in the community who defended the rights of his people. My condolences to his family and the people of Nyamira County.#RipNyagarama." the cs said.
