Linus Kiplangat Rono, a 24 years old man have left many in shock after he cut off his genitals before throwing them away.
According to his mother, Linus was bleeding profusely and was limping in pain. She inquired what had happened. She learned that he had cut his genitals and threw them away.
Together with other family members, they rushed him to Tenwek Hospital in Bomet county where he is receiving medication.
Confirming the incident, Kiplabotwo Chief Geoffrey Korir said that Linus's mother called him and informed him what had transpired.
He revealed that the victim is a known drug abuser in the area. He believes that he might have been under the influence of the drugs when he committed the act.
''Linus he a known drug abuser in my location and I believe that he was under the influence of drugs when he committed the act.
With the help of Nyumba Kumi leaders we are mobilizing to the youths against use of drugs which can cause such in future''. cheif said.
