Teacher Invites Lover To His Room And Later Stabs Her Using A Knife Leaving Her To Die

Sleuths in Kwale County are searching for a middle-aged man who allegedly confronted his estranged spouse with a sword and hammer on Wednesday at night.

The two had separated four months ago and the lady later found a new lover.

A 36-year-old John Mweu, allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old, Janet Nabumuya, on the chest and severally hit her head using a hammer before running to an unknown destination.

The woman was left lying unconsciously in a pool of blood.

On Janet's arrival, Mweu is believed to have locked the main door with a padlock and angrily turned on her with a hammer and a knife.

The neighbours who by that time heard cries and commotion gained access into the room only to discover the woman lying unconsciously on the floor in a pool of blood.

The prime suspect, however, who is a Primary School Headteacher at Menzamwenye Primary School had managed to flee before the arrival of the neighbours.

In the mean time, Nabumuya survived the henious act and at the moment slowly recovering at the Lunga Lunga Constituency Hospital.

A manhunt for the perpetrator is still going on.
